Hi dear Friend,

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 1 Pet 5:8

The devil is on a serious business, he is a hard worker. Day and night, night and day he is waiting and hanging around for the opportunity to whom he can consume and destroy.

It doesn’t matter for him at all of who you are, what’s your background, what your belief system is, or how educated or illiterate you are, how rich and or poor you are…… He is prowling around to devour.

The Bible teaches us to stay alert and watch out!

The enemy can bring anything and anyone to devour you, he will use anything and if necessary everything to trap you.

3 areas the enemy will attack.

  1. Your character :

I grew up hearing this;

If money is lost, nothing is lost,

If health is lost, something is lost, but

If character is lost, everything is lost.

The enemy’s first target is your character. WHO YOU ARE?

It’s not who you say you are, it is what you do? Most of the time we do things centered on what we think!

When God created us, He created us in His own image and likeness. But the enemy put a thought in the head of Eve, she began to think and began desiring and desiring led to fall.

Thinking – Desire – Attempt – Habit – lifestyle

Joseph, in the house of Potiphar’s house was very successful. God was with him and blessed him in everything he did. One day, Potiphar’s wife forced him to go to bed with her but Joseph refused and ran from her.

The enemy will throw temptation on temptations to trap you, what you do when you are tempted.

1 Cor 10:13(b): And God is Faithful, he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you the way out so that you can endure.

Being tempted is not a sin but yielding yourself to temptation is sin.

Heb 4:15: We have one who was tempted in every way, just like we are – yet was without sin.

If the enemy can tempt Jesus — the Son of God, what makes you think that he will not tempt you?

  1. Identity:

While we were in a school, one question we hear more often is what’s your father’s name? Probably they would ask to know to whom we belong too.

People identify you by who you are and what you do! The enemy will also target your Identity. He came to Jesus and said, if you are the Son of God. . . . . .  Matt 4:3.

As soon as Jesus came out the water of baptism, the Bible says, the heavens were open, and the voice came from heaven saying “This is my beloved Son, whom I love and with Him I am well pleased.

The Bible says, we are children of God and God loves us so much beyond our minds could ever think, and God has greater plans for us than we could have for ourselves, and we are the part takers of His eternal Kingdom and in Him we are more than conquers; but the enemy will come and sow a seed of doubt in our mind.

Jesus knew, who He was? Do you know who you are? Who you are in Christ? If you don’t know and if you don’t believe it, you will be deceived by the enemy like Eve did.

Stand on your ground, no matter what the enemy throws at you, take position in Christ and stand on that solid rock of Jesus.

  1. Reputation:

After you knowing who you are and to whom you belong, it is also important how we do?

You can achieve little with your own strength, wisdom, gifts, skills and influence but if you can add God to all these things you can achieve greater things than you could ever imagine.

The Bible has a record of few powerful people despised God and did little but there are equal number of people who connected their limited life to the unlimited God and did great and mighty thing for God.

Example of people depended on their self:

Saul – the first king of Israel depended on his own influence lost the kingdom.

Solomon – the wisest, did evil in the sight of God by worshipping idols.

Samson – The Strongest, was trapped by the woman.

Example  of people who depended on God:

David – The shepherd boy went against giant in the name of the Lord and killed him.

Peter – The fishermen, preached his first sermon (without any theological certificate), 3000 people receive Jesus and were added to the church.

Jesus Christ – The Man/God defeated sin, shame, death, curse, sickness . . . . . with His Holiness because He was completely yielded to God.

You are called for greatness, let not the enemy steal it. Yeild yourself to the Holy Spirit, then, when the enemy  comes one way will flee in seven times. Resist the enemy and He will flee from you.

Make Jesus your partner for life, give Him the first priority. You will never regret, rather you would be surprised at the things of God in and through your life.

As you are reading, I pray that God will give you grace to guard you Character, Identity and Reputation. May you excel in everything you do, as you connect your limited life to unlimited God.

God Bless You,

In His service,

Jeevan & Leena.
