Hi dear friend,

Greetings to you in Jesus name.

I want to thank you for reading all my blogs and giving me your valuable feedback.

Today I would like to share few thoughts on Friendship.

friendship-heart

Friends are the very important people in this world, but you cannot call everyone whom you have seen, or spoken to, or known, or spent few time with them or people who work with you or people who stay around with you are your friends.

Friend leave a very important influence on our lives.

The kind of people with whom you associate with reflects who you are and what kind of people you are.

I want to share two things about friendship;

  1. You cannot be a friend to everyone:

You might know thousands of people but not all the thousands can be your friends.

When Jesus was is in this world, He had thousands of people following Him. Thousands of people celebrated Him but He did not call everyone as His friends.

Before Jesus was ascended to heaven He had 12 disciples with Him all the time, He invested His time, energy and everything He had, He looked at them and said, ‘I no longer call you as my servants but my friends’.

Things that you should know here;

Jesus’ friends was given by God the Father and Jesus chose them with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Now, if you say, you have friends in life, can I ask you, are they sent by God into your life? And did you use the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit to have them as your friends?

Most of the time, you choose friends based on their help for you or their presence with you and around you, we think that this is God given friend to you, everything will be smooth and happy for some time, but sooner or later you begin to distinct from that friend and you begin to regret that you made that person your friend because of the disagreements and misunderstandings.

When you come out of that friendship you are left with wounds in your heart, so be wise before you make someone your friend. Is your friend sent by God? Or you want make new friends ask God who is your friend and with His wisdom choose friends!!

  1. Value your friendship:

When you find your God given friend, it’s your responsibility to take care of that friend and friendship.

When Jesus called His disciples, friends, He meant it with all His heart.

The way your treat your God given friend, represents the way you treat God Himself.

Can I ask you, what are you doing with that God given friend?

Jesus commanded us to love one another as He has loved us.

The Bible says, God loved us so much that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life, God demonstrated His love to us in this while we were still sinners, Jesus died for us. John 3:16, Rom 5:8.

The Bible says, we ought to love one another as He has loved us and gave Himself for us. 1 John 3:16.

We should be willing to lay down our life for God and for the people He has given us!

Before I conclude, I want to request you to know your God given friend and invest everything you can to see that friendship grow!!

God bless you.

In His service,

Jeevan & Leena
