Hello dear friend,

Greeting to you in Jesus name.

Hope you are doing well by the grace of God.

Today I want to help you in handling the pressures in life.

Trust me you will have pressures all your life. And these pressures can make you or break you.

The Bible says in Matthew 26:36-46: Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, praying to God, before Judas betrayed him.

In this passage of scripture you see Jesus was under great pressure that He prayed thrice and while He was praying His sweat came from His body like blood. Imagine the kind of pressure the Son of God was in!

2 Corinthians 11:28: Apostle Paul was in pressure too. If you read 2 Corinthians chapter 4, you can see the trails, persecutions and pain Paul went through, but at the end of his life he said, I have fought a good fight of faith. Are you fighting too? Are you fighting well?

Today I would like to share 3 things from the life of Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane. If you do what Jesus did, you too will be glorified by God.

  • Have God’s Perspective:

Every time you are in a pressurizing situation you need to take a pause and think, why is this happening to you? How did you end up there? Is it God’s will for you to go through it or you ended up there because of some immature decisions?

How do you know if it’s God’s will?

The Bible says, Jesus prayed thrice, and I believe when Jesus prayed God affirmed His will for Jesus. When Jesus had finished praying thrice, He had already completely understood the purpose of God for His life, and I also believe God might have showed Him the kind of death He will die, His burial and His resurrection. When He finished praying, He won His battle.

  • Where do you go?

Jesus went to the garden of Gethsemane (The Mount of Olives), this was His usual place where He would pray and meet His Father.

The place where you run to when you are under pressure, determines the source of strength, peace, provision. You should have a secret place where you go and meet your Creator, and have fellowship with Him. Jesus had His secret place, Do you? If not find one!

  • Who do you hang out with?

Jesus was in the most pressurized state of His life and He took 11 of His disciples to the place where He would meet God regularly. Though Jesus entered into the garden with 11 disciples but He only shared His heart with the three.

You need to be wise to whom you share your heart with.

Jesus fed 5000, but He only sent 70 to minister; though He sent 70, He only mentored 12; though He had 12 disciples, He shared His heart with only 3; though He had 3 close people, yet He reveled His mysteries with the 1.

You need to know who will fit where, and keep everyone within their boundaries. Be wise in managing your relationships.

Dear friend before I conclude, I pray may God give you grace to see whatever you are going through His eyes, and may you discipline yourself to have a secret place with God, and may God empower you to manage people wisely according to His own will.

May God bring you out of every pressure you are in right now and when you come out you would have stories to tell about God’s faithfulness and His goodness, and may you grow from strength to strength and glory to glory in Jesus name.

If you are blessed by today’s post, please share it with your friends and loved ones. Thank you.
