This morning I got a message from our very good friend and a sister in Christ that one of her friend is no more and that she and her friends were mourning and depressed. That’s when I asked the Spirit of God to teach me about this very thing.
I think a person weeps and mourns at someone’s death is because of the love they shared together, the fellowship they shared together, the fun they had together, the way they both helped each other and stood for each other in good times and in tough times. When you think of everything about that person and all of a sudden now all your senses says “He/she is no more” that’s when you feel like you are missing that person very much than you ever had.
TRUE LOVE:
Dear reader, the Bible says that God so loved the world that He sent His Son Jesus for you. . . . . John 3:16.
Jesus loves you more than anyone in the world could ever love you. He understands better than your own parents and even you’re very best of best friends. Even after knowing your weaknesses your short comings He still stands with you and every time you call on to Him for help, He is present to help and lift you out from that ditch. Every time you fall instead of laughing at you he says “come on, let’s try again”.
The Bible continues to say that He came to give His life for you. Mark 10:45. People of the world live for themselves to fulfill their own self-centered dreams and desires for which they could even hurt you but Jesus Christ the prince of Heaven came to serve you, He lived to fulfill your dreams, and He lived to see you where He is, and also share with you all that belong to Him.
The Bible even tells that Jesus died for you on the cross, buried and raised from the dead. 1 Cor 15:3-4. The Bible even continues to say that this Jesus, the Lord of heaven and earth died for every sin you have committed and every sin you will ever commit. No one in this world dies for you not even the mother who gave you birth and nursed you neither you father who carried you close to his breast will die with you! But my Jesus died for you!! And the good news is He is raised from the death and seated at the right hand of God in heaven. Even at Father’s right hand He is praying for you! AMAZING LOVE! UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!
You want to thank the person whom you lost, despite of who he/she is or what he/she has done. Did you ever take time to thank Jesus for what He has done? Everyone who dies in this world dies either of sickness/ diseases, accidents or good ripe age but Jesus died for your sake! No one in this world will die for you no matter how much they love you.
Why death?
God never created or designed death; death came into the world because of sin.
We live in the world where everything has a time, according to Ecc 3:1-8, but there is the kingdom of God where there is no sin, no death, no pain, no suffering, no hungry . . . . . and that kingdom never ends because that kingdom is Holy!
Now the Bible says that there is time to be born and time to die. Ecc 3:2. Everybody born in the world have to die because this is not our permanent place, some go ahead of us and some follow them but we have to leave this world anyway.
A person’s days are determined; you have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed. Job 14:5. Before you were born, even before your body was formed in your mother’s womb God knows the number of days you will live, He has written it in His book. Ps 139:6.
This world is not your permanent place, nothing will come with you when you leave this world not your education, your money, your property, you gold and diamond jewels, your favorite bikes or cars absolutely nothing. You brought nothing to the world and you take nothing out of it.
What is death?
The Bible says, you are created in the image of God. Gen 1:26. God is Spirit. John 4:24 and you too are spirit being but you have body and soul.
Your body is made up of dust, when you die your body returns to the dust but your spirit returns to God who gave it. Ecc 12:7. Gen 3:19 Ps 146:4, Ps 104:29.
The good news is your spirit has no death! Anyone who received Jesus as his/her personal Lord and Savior will be with Jesus in heaven, when you go up in your time you will see and meet the people whom you lost in this world if they too are saved.
The person who received Jesus as his personal Lord and Savor has no death, for the world it is death but for you as a child of God you are asleep! Jesus uses the word asleep when Jairus daughter and Lazarus were dead Mark 5:39, John 11:11 because Jesus would raise them.
What happened when Jesus died? His physical body stopped functioning, this is the same with you dear believer. Those who are dead in Christ will rise up as He is raised from the death. 1 Thes 4:16.
For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. Rom 14:9.
Dear reader, I know if someone leaves you here for ever, your heart will be broken, weeping and depression but by doing all that you cannot bring that person back to life rather I would like to encourage you to serve and take care and love everyone whom God has brought into your life now, so that you will not regret in life.
When you see someone is dead. It reminds you to use your time here on earth wisely, live life to the full for the glory of God. Be blessed and be a blessing to everyone whom God brings your way. Who knows when your time may come? Therefore Press on, run your race and fight a good fight of faith.
