I started to serve God since the day I gave my life to Jesus. Leena (my wife) was earning a good pay until God told her to quit the job. The very next morning she went to her office and gave her resignation. Since then we both are into full time ministry serving God in the call He has called us.

Ever since I came into ministry there were challenges and opposition from family, friends, relatives and church. Most of us think that after receiving Jesus there will be no problem at all in our life and everything will go on very smoothly. But for me the challenge rate has not come down rather it kept on increasing in number and size.

In the midst of all these challenges the truth remains the same, the truth is Jesus is with us. Jesus said in Matt 28:20: I will be with you till the end of the age, Matt 1:21: His (Jesus) name is called Immanuel meaning ‘God with us’. Heb 13:5: I will never leave you nor forsake you. All these scriptures tell us that God is with us. But why do we often feel that God is away from us, not listening to our prayers, not bothered about us? Jesus was with His disciples but there were times when they could not recognize Him or know how great He is.

When they were in trouble: John 6: 16-21.

In this passage we see the disciples were on their way in a boat. As they reached the middle of the sea suddenly the wind started to blow against them and water grew roughly. In the midst of all this Jesus was walking towards His disciples but they did not know that He was Jesus and were terrified but Jesus told them that it was Him. Then they took him into the boat immediately and reached the shore.

Dear friend, what do you do when you are in trouble? Do you also think that Jesus is a trouble maker or a solution to all your troubles?

There were days when even I doubted God and questioned Him wondering if He was with me or not. I also asked Him whether He loves me or not?

Whether you believe it or not Jesus loves you and cares for you and that’s the truth. He has better plans for you then you have for yourself .He is with you. He understands you more than any of your friends, relatives, parents, children, wife or husband do. It’s only Jesus who can understand you.

When Jesus comes into your trouble, you will reach to your destiny. When Jesus got into the boat they reached the place where they wanted to be. He is the Alpha and the Omega – the beginning and the end.

What should you do in times of troubles?

We need to accept the truth that as long as we are in the world we will have trails, troubles and challenges. Jesus said in John 16:33: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” But whenever you know that you are going through trails, tests, troubles ‘don’t fight against it’ but in those times of trouble seek and search for Jesus. Ask God to invade in your situations and when He comes in every problem in your life will disappear.

Yes, I’m going through a very tough time in every area of my life but I have decided to seek God and wait for Him to interfere in my life.

Blessings,

Jeevan n Leena
