Hi Dear Friend,
I am so glad to write to you what the Lord has laid on my heart for this week.
The world we live in is craving for one 4 letter word called Love! Everywhere people are waiting to be loved and respected. Wife from husband and vice-verse, parents from children and vice-verse, teachers from students and vice-verse, employer from employees and vice-verse . . . . . have you ever thought about God and us and us to God? We are trying to love and to be loved by people around us but completely ignored the love for God.
God loves us unconditionally and very passionately but do you know He too wants to be loved by us. From the ancient times God is also waiting for true love! God’s word says “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength Deut: 6:5. It didn’t stop there after thousands of years God reveals His greatest need in Matt 22:37: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind.
If you take time to the listen to the heart of God you will hear Him say, Love the Lord your God with all that you have!!
We are trying to love others, we forgot that God Himself is love and by His power we are loving whomever we are loving.
There are people who say that they love God but they don’t know what loving God means, or what you should do when you say I love God. When you love someone, you show it! The Bible says that God loved the world and He gave His one and only Son. . . . John 3:16. God showed His love!
What would you do if your love God?
- You will obey God:
If anyone loves me (Jesus), he will obey my teachings. John 14:23(a)
If you love God, you will obey Him no matter what. You don’t only love God by words for it costs you nothing but when you love God you give up things you like or things that are important to you so that the person (Jesus ) whom you love will be pleased and feel loved.
Out of this love you will know about God more by reading the Holy Bible; you spend time with Him to talk and listen to Him in prayer; when your heart and mind is filled with the word of God and when you send most of the time with Him, you are in a process of being transformed into His righteous life that person can easily say no to the things of the world no matter how bad the temptation is!
- You will love other:
Matt 22:39: Love your neighbor as yourself.
Matt 5:44(a): Love your enemies.
1 Jn 3:16(b): This is how we know what love is, Jesus Christ laid down His life for us so we ought to lay down for our brother.
When you love God with all your heart, mind and strength; His love will be poured back into our lives to the overflow and that love will give us power to love others the way Jesus loved, no matter whether we are his brothers, neighbors or even enemies.
If you can’t love God at first place, you cannot love anyone. You might think you love your family, friends, relatives, colleagues . . . . but without God’s love being your strength, your love will be very shallow. Be rooted deep into God’s love!!
Conclusion:
As you are reading this post I pray that God will give us grace to love Him more than ever and make Jesus as our #1priority in life and also allow His love to flow as rivers in the land of our living till the people around us and in our land be soaked in the love of God.
