Hi Dear friend,
Greetings to you in Jesus name!
I was thinking how hard it is to build someone and how easy it is to break someone down. We hurt someone or the other without even knowing that we are hurting!
We are living in a days, where to crack a joke we use someone’s weakness and someone’s outward appearances just to be a light to the party and make people laugh. Without knowing what will be the outcome of that small silly joke.
We all did before receiving Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, but how sad it is we still do it after being born again. We did then unknowingly but now we do it deliberately today in the body of Christ and to the people who belong to the family.
We are so quick to point out someone’s weakness but never bother to see the good talents, gifts, abilities and skills he already has.
If you can’t encourage someone, please don’t discourage!!
Today I would like to share few things on how to build someone, hope and pray that this post will be a blessing to you.
1. Never point out weakness:
It is easy to point out someone’s weakness not knowing you too have one. The ways you want to hide your weakness likewise hide others too. The way you will feel when someone picks up your things, why don’t you understand that he will go through the same? The person who comes your way is already hurt; if possible you be a medicine to the wounds but never make the wound big.
2. See the positives:
We focus so much on a person’s negative things but never take time to think of one good thing in him. Every person on this planet has something good and blessed thing that makes him different, take hold of that one thing God put in him and use it to build the Kingdom of God.
3. Spend time with him:
It is very important that you spend time with that person to teach council and pray with him. Make him your friend, this is when you can correct him and encourage him through God’s word and keep checking on him. Build relationship! Make him realize that you are part of his world and you show Jesus to him in everything you do and say!
4. Give responsibility :
Giving responsibility is so important; if you want to know how much you trained him and how much he learnt, give some small responsibility. If he does well, after some time give him some more responsibilities and keep doing it.
In the process of the time he will be strong enough that he will be a person who will build other.
This is how God works in our life and through our life, let us also do the same.
As you are reading this post I pray that God will give us grace to build the people, one person at a time till the whole world experience the love and the acceptance of God in Jesus Christ.
Note: Him in this article also means her.
