Hi Dear Friend,
Greetings to you in Jesus name.
what a joy to write to you on the thing that God laid on my heart, it personally inspired me and lifted my spirit up in the Lord hope you too will experience the same.
It is so important to know who you are as a person, and who you are in Jesus?
“You are not what people say who you are, not even what people think you are”, you are what God says you are! Your identity is God.
Let not your situation determine who you are or what are you capable of, instead let God determine, and His love, mercies, grace and favour determine who you are and what you are capable of. Your ability is God’s ability!
It’s more important to know whose you are than who your are, when you give your life to Jesus, you belong to Him.
You will begin to live in this identity of God only when you stop living by your identity!
What does the Bible say about your identity?
1. You are a child of God:
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12.
I want you to take this to your heart and know that you are His child!!
A child can never loose his position in the family though he does things against the rules and standards of the family.
Once when God adopts you into the family, He will never disown you! He is faithful! He will also give you grace to be faithful to live the way He wants you to live.
2. You are chosen by God:
You didn’t choose me, but I choose you…… John 15:16
You are chosen by God before the foundations of the earth was laid. Eph 1:4
What do you think, when God choose you, didn’t He know about you? what your weaknesses are? how many times you will fall? . . . .
He knew everything about you and still He knows you more than you yourself know, yet He still chooses to live with you, walk with you, have fellowship with you and make you the person you are supposed to be. Though you might have given up on your self but God has not, He is till making you, moulding you, and using all your failures, hurts, pain and turning it for your good.
You are chosen by God, trust me, God doesn’t choose rubbish/junk!
You are precious to Him, and He loves you crazily!!
3. You are beautiful:
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Ps. 139:14
He made you beautiful! He is the best architect and designer in the world! You don’t believe me, goo and check in your mirror.
We are His workmanship, and we represent God’s glory on earth!
Don’t listen to the voice of the enemy, the more you listen to him, the more you will believe him; instead listen to God, the more you listen to Him the more you will known who you are, and in the power of knowing yourself, you will live and walk in it!
I encourage you dear friends to know who are you, your real identity is in Jesus! Jesus is revealed in the word of God!
You are not what the enemy say you are, you are what God says you are! Believe Him!!
