  1. WI is a praying team:

We can see in the above picture that West Indies team is a praying team.

Darren Sammy, says they have Andre Fletcher an opening batsman in a team who is a pastor and he prays for the team all the time.

If you are a man or woman of prayer, you can never loose; you will win and will indeed be a champion.

The Bible has so much to say on prayer and kinds of prayer. Prayer is the most powerful weapon on the planet, prayer will create miracles of all kind.

Jesus’ life was holy and His ministry was powerful because He was a man of prayer. If Jesus, a Son of God, prayed, imagine how much more you and I have to devote ourselves to prayers.

  1. WI team gives thanks to God:

Giving thanks to God is a part of worship.

Darren Sammy, Chris Gayle and Brathwaite, thanked Almighty God when they were interviewed.

Thanking God shows that you are not dependent on yourself, but on God. The reason we don’t give credit to God because we think we have done or achieved something with our own strength or intellect.

The Bible says, Give thanks to God always. 1 Thess 5:18a

We as His children should give thanks to God at all time, despite of the situation we are going through.

The enemy will do his best to stop us to be sensitive to the goodness of God even in our worst condition, that’s why most of us end up complaining, doubting His love and walk away from Him.

Thanking God should be our lifestyle. From the time you wake up till the time you fall asleep you should thank God for everything!

  1. WI team never gave up:

West Indies team is a fighting team.

If you have seen the match, even when their star batsman Chris Gayle got out in the second over and their previous match star batsman Simmons got out for first ball without scoring a run, they didn’t give up. They fought till the end.

How many of us give up, if God delayed in answering your prayers?

The reason someone gives up because of lack of hope and faith in God.

Paul, the apostle said, I have fought a good fight of faith, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith. 2 Tim 4:7

We are called never to give up, but to trust God and run the race marked for us.

  1. WI team is a hard working team:

WI team were not satisfied to be in the finals, but wanted to win the championship.

They didn’t play just for the sake of it, but to win it against all odds. For which they had to work hard sweat out in the field, do everything they could to win the title.

God has given every one of us gifts, talents, abilities and skills. There is no one in the world whom God sent without a purpose. Now, I want to ask you, what are you doing with what God has given you?

Paul, the apostle said, I don’t run like a man running aimlessly but to win the price, for which I beat my body (go through training) and bring it to my submission. 1 Cor9:24-27

God wants you to excel and master what He has given you. Be faithful to God and be trustworthy.

  1. WI team is a rejoicing team:

If you see them closely, one thing that makes them outstanding is that they enjoy their game. They have a dance step when they take a wicket or when someone scores well or when they win the match.

Strangely, the captain Darren Sammy had a smile on his face when they had to score 19 runs in 6 balls with an inexperienced all-rounder at the crease.

The joy of the Lord is our strength. Neh 8:10.

Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice. Phil 4:4

Count it as joy with you face trails of many kinds. Jam 1:2

God wants to enjoy our life. By worrying you can’t do anything but rejoicing in the Lord knowing that He is in control will make a great difference.

No matter what the enemy throws at you, turn it as an opportunity to praise God.

As I conclude, I pray that God will give you grace to be an overcomer in everything you do for the glory of God.

God Bless You,

With much love and prayers,

Jeevan & Leena

God Cricket Winner
