Hello dear friend,

Greetings to you in Jesus name.

troubled-teen

When you look at people’s life, there are almost everyone who are going through troubles of one kind or the other and they don’t know what to do!

Trouble is a state of distress, affliction, and difficulty or in need.

Here are few things that you should know about troubles;

  1. Don’t be troubled:

I know your life might not be a bed of roses all the time but when situations change you don’t change because God hasn’t changed.

Many times we adjust according to the situation when we are supposed to build our life not based on situation but based on God and His word.

Don’t focus so much on your troubles that you can’t see Jesus, in fact fix your eyes on Jesus then no trouble is a trouble but an opportunity to experience His goodness and power.

Jesus told His disciples, Let not your hearts be troubled. John 14:1, don’t be afraid or troubled. John 14:27.

When Jesus our Lord is saying not to be troubled, you shouldn’t trouble!!

  1. You are not alone:

When someone is going through a trouble, the first thing that comes to their mind probably is that they are good for nothing and they can’t handle this and this has come to kill/destroy them completely.

When Jesus was on earth in His lifetime, He was 100% man and also 100% God. He was deeply troubled many times Mark 14:33, John 11:33, John 13:21, but Jesus was not moved in His relationship with God nor lost the focus of His calling. When we are troubled at times, we sometimes act as if we lost our mind.

Look at the life of Jesus when He was troubled. You go ahead and do so because you are His follower.

  1. You run to Him in trouble:

When you are in trouble, you want to run to people/friends or a favorite place or to the place where you satisfy your flesh – probably some addiction but remember this, where you run to is your god/idol.

Look at the life of Jesus, every time He was troubled, He ran into the presence of God.

Psalmist said, I will lift up my eyes to God in heaven, that’s where my help comes from the maker of heaven and earth. Ps 121:1

The author of Hebrews was filled with the Holy Spirit and wrote, Fix your eyes on Jesus. Hebrews 12:1

The presence of God is the safest place on the planet for anyone.

Anyone who came to God didn’t return the way he/she came but were transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Trust me when you run to God in your troubles, He will indeed turn them as testimony and triumph.

  1. You don’t grumble in trouble:

The most common thing to a human is that you bad mouth God and your life, but as a child you are not common.

You don’t walk in the footsteps of the world but in the footsteps of your Master Jesus Christ.

There are people who run to God but not to take His help but to complain and tell God what to do, when, how and why! We are not God’s dictators!

Every time you go to God, you go because He is merciful, gracious, all mighty and loving.

If you read the life of Job, the righteous and the richest man of his time, the Bible says, he lost everything he had. His situation was so bad that his wife advised him to curse God and die, but he said “the Lord gave and the lord took away”, blessed be His name. Job 1:21

Paul and Silas went to Philippe, they were beaten and were imprisoned, at midnight they didn’t complain against God or against one another but praised God. Acts 16:25

  1. You don’t give up in trouble :

When people are going through the difficult phase in life, when everything is falling apart and all that they could see is trouble, mess and difficulty, they give up. Giving up is ok if you have something that you can hold on to that is better than Jesus.

The Bible has a stories of men and women of God who went through a very tough time but didn’t gave up!

The people with great destiny are the people with great obstacles and challenges.

I don’t know what you are going through, but I want to tell you, PLEASE DON’T GIVE UP because God has not given up on you.

Trust God, He will change situations for your good and for his glory.

God bless you,

In His service,

Jeevan & Leena
