Greetings to you in Jesus name.
These days we are hearing a lot about revival, outpouring and awakening all of this is good. I dream to live in it but one of the greatest thing that we should grow as the children of God is to encounter God.
Revival is birthed when you encounter God personally and it follows out publically when you stand for Him. You cannot bring a revival unless you are revived.
Today I will share with you few things that will help you encounter God personally, and prepare you for the revival of your city, nation and generations.
- Desperation for Him:
You cannot encounter God until you want to. Being desperate for God is the first step to encounter Him, when you are desperate to meet God, He will show Himself to you. That revelation is good enough to take a generation to Jesus.
God will not force feed you, if you are desperate for Him, He will satisfy you. Therefore be desperate for God.
- Passionately love God:
Many people desire to encounter God, they display their desperation when they attend few conferences and hear testimonies or listen to a sermon.
Good meetings, testimonies and sermons are good, they help you to fall in love with God but you should continue to fan the flame that God put in you.
You should fall in love with God, not just an ordinary love but passionate love.
One thing God told his people from the beginning and even His heart beats the same now, that is “to love the Lord your God with ALL YOUR HEART, ALL YOUR MIND, and with ALL YOUR STRENGHT”. If you don’t love God with ‘ALL’, you don’t love Him at all.
- Show love:
It’s easy to say that you love God, it’s even easy to sing but living a life of loving God is challenging. To love God is to not to love anything or anyone more than Him.
One of the ways that you show that you really love God is by obeying Him. Obedience to God should be our lifestyle. When you love Him, you will live to please Him 24/7/365/lifetime.
Not just obey and please Him but you take time to be with Him. Take time to know Him more by reading the Bible and praying.
- Don’t give up on Him:
God loves you so much that it will take life time to know the depths, heights and width of the love He has for you.
Sometimes you might go through a rough path and you don’t see or understand the love of God, nevertheless don’t doubt God and His love for you. Hold on to Him firmly than ever before.
Your love for God is proven how to treat Him in the toughest of times.
No matter what you are going through, Jesus is your answer and He is the only solution. Therefore, never give up on Him, never doubt His love for you.
- Encounter The King:
When you are desperate for Him and love Him passionately, and showing your love Him in everything you do, and not giving up on Him no matter what, you will encounter Him in His fullness.
When you encounter Him, you will encounter life in its fullness, and that life will gush into every area of your life.
When you meet Him, you don’t need anything; you will find Jesus to be your all in all. All you can ask for more for Him on everyday basis , you will desire to walk closer and much closer to Him.
The closer you walk with God, the effective you will walk on the earth, before you know you will be influencing the people around you.
Before you know you are walking and living in the revival, God will show Himself through you.
Revival is God showing Himself to the world through you.
