Hello dear friend,
Greetings to you in Jesus name.
We all want to live a clean life, a life that benefits and also a life that will bless people around us, but sadly we don’t know how.
We try every gimmick known to us but with all of our efforts we reach nowhere.
I am reminded of the life of Jesus Christ, our Lord. The man who lived in the power of the God like no one had ever lived, all His life on earth He a great blessing to people (Healed the sick, set the captives free, raise the dead, fed the hungry, embraced those that were rejected and saved the sinners) everyday!
What was His secret?
Well, I found His secret; the Bible says in Acts 10:38: And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with Holy Spirit and with Power, then He went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, for God was with Him.
Jesus was anointed by God to live such life!
If you too were anointed, you would also live like Jesus.
I have a good news for you, the day you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, the anointed one comes and dwells in you. You are a carrier of the anointed (Jesus Christ), therefore you too are anointed but you need to grow in the anointing every day.
Today I will share 3 things that will help you increase the anointing of God on your life.
- Spend time with God:
One thing was very evident in Jesus’ life and ministry, that He would spend time with God always.
The Bible says, Jesus was a man of prayer. He would spend all night with God, early in the morning He would go to a solitary place to pray.
The first key is that you take time to read the Bible and pray.
Prayer less life is a powerless life and if you don’t have the word of God then you will not know the power of God and how it works!
The measure of anointing you carry is the result of your time with God.
- Spend time with anointed men and women:
The kind of people you associate with is the kind of life you live.
The bible says, wherever the disciples went and preached the gospel, God confirmed with words with signs wonders and miracles following.
The disciples were connected with Jesus.
You will walk in the anointing your mentor / spiritual father / pastor is walking.
Anointing is contagious. What your spiritual leaders carry is what flows in you and through you.
For example: if your spiritual leader is a prophet, you will also walk in the prophetic, if he is an evangelist, you will also have a burden for the perishing souls……
I recommend that you walk closer to your spiritual leader. You take time to sit with him/her, talk with them, ask them to lay their hand on you and bless you.
- Honor the anointed men and women (especially Your spiritual leaders):
How to honor them?
One of the great ways you would honor is by praying for them and sowing into their life and ministry.
There is a principle in the Bible, what you sow is what you reap! You cannot expect a harvest without sowing it first.
The way you honor is the same way people whom you lead will honor you. Look for an opportunity to serve them!
What you celebrate is the same you inherit. (Celebrate their success, their connections, their style, their passion for God and the gifts of the Holy Spirit that is in operation in them)
You connect yourself with the anointing of your spiritual leaders by praying for them and by blessing them!
Prayer: May God give you grace to rededicate your life to Jesus and fall in love with Him and His Word; may God also give you grace to stay connected to the men and women of God He sent in your life; and may God also give your grace to show great respect to your spiritual leaders in Jesus name. AMEN
