Hello dear friend,

Greetings to you in Jesus name.

I hope you are doing well and blessed in God through Jesus Christ our Lord. May God continue to keep you from all harms, and provide for you all that you need according to the riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

As there are so many people who are excitedly waiting on God to get married, on the other hand among those who are married many are ready to separate.

Today I want to share few thing that I believe the Lord has laid on my heart about divorce, what does the bible says about divorce? And what are the reasons of divorce?

Divorce simply means separation (or to separate).

When God joined a man and woman in marriage, He never intended or planned a divorce. It was not God’s perfect plan. The Bible also says, “so they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate” Matthew 19:6.

I would highly recommend you to love one another, respect one another, and bear with one another in marriage. Do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING possible to keep your marriage alive, and grow in!

All those who are in marriage, I want to ask you “ARE YOU STAYING TOGETHER”? It is possible for you to live together under a same roof and yet be separated emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.

Some people are separated from their spouse mentally, emotionally, financially, physically, and spiritually in marriage; but still manage to hang in just because of the fear of people and society.

Here are the reasons people divorce;

  1. Because of the heart break:

I think it is very very important that you know, understand and live according to the expectations of your spouse, at least on the foundational things. When one person is hurt in the relationship, it definitely affects (it should) the other.

When someone’s heart is broken it is very difficult to heal it without leaving a scar, and everything you see or think of the scar you end up in hurt leading your spouse to disappointment to the point where you question the truth of your marriage.

Take care of your spouse as if you take care of the precious and expensive glass article.

2. Crushed soul:

Sometimes it is possible for you to be in marriage for years and yet not know and understand when you have hurt your spouse internally. If you don’t learn your lesson it is possible for you to rub on the same wound again and again until it bleeds externally.

Treat your spouse the way you wanted to be treated. Always celebrate and make effort to put a smile on your spouse’s face.

Before I conclude I want to tell you that Jesus came to heal the broken heart and heal the crushed spirit. Welcome Jesus you in your life, in your marriage, and in your family; then you will live a peaceful, joyful and blessed marriage.

Remember that God doesn’t want marriage to end in divorce, but if you already separated in your body, in your mind, and in your emotions; and if you have tried to fix your marriage with God and still couldn’t succeed then there is nothing wrong in separating.

I pray, may God bless your marriage in Jesus might name, Amen.

May God bless you,

With much love and prayers,
