Hello dear friend,
Greetings to you in Jesus name.
It’s a joy and privilege to write the things that God has put in my heart for you, and I hope you have been blessed with all my previous posts.
Today I would like to share few things on “WILL GOD LEAVE ME IF I COMMIT A SIN?”
Growing up in a Christian family is a great blessing, but I was also scared of sin because I grew up hearing about sin and its consequences. Two consequences that caught my attention were; sin brings death – Romans 6:23, and sin separates us from God – Isaiah 59:2.
Until the day we accept Jesus to be our Lord and Saviour we were dead because of the sins we have committed, and the sins that we have inherited; yes we were separated from God and also considered His enemies; but God who is so rich in mercies and love, He took a human form and came to seek and save us as we were lost in sin.
I strongly believe the day we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour that very moment we became the temple of God as God begins to dwell (make home) in us and with us.
Our salvation is like a marriage covenant, the day we welcome Jesus Christ into our lives as Lord, we come under His Lordship. He becomes our mediator between us and God, we become righteous before God because of His righteousness, His blood cleanses and purifies us of all our sins, and He keep interceding for us until we meet Him.
Dear friend, it is possible that you being a believer might fall into sin, but the evidence that God has not left you is that you repent. How can you repent if you don’t know that you have messed up? The bible says it is the Holy Spirit who convicts us of our sin – John 16:8, and it is by His help we ask for forgiveness, and it is by His Spirit that we call God as ABBA FATHER – Romans 8:15!
The day we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, that very moment we will be marked with the promised Holy Spirit until the day of redemption – Ephesians 1:13-14. God said, I will not leave you nor forsake you, Jesus said I will be with you always even to the end of the age – Matthew 28:20, He also said, no one can snatch you out of My hand – John 10:28.
Ephesians 4:30: Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, the other word for grieve is to mourn or be sad. Why will someone stick with someone even after being hurt and crushed, it is because of the covenant.
God is faithful to the covenant He has made with us but it is possible for us to leave Him and live the kind of life that we are tempted to live because we are unfaithful to Him at times. The reason we sin is because we have disconnected from God in our heart, mind and in living in His perfect will. Yet because of God’s grace He draws us to Himself, and in His mercy He forgives us and in His great love He restores us.
Dear friend, I encourage you to please God always, and even if you fall, please run to God quickly and be sorry. I pray that God will give us grace and supernaturally help us to please God always, in Jesus name I pray. Amen
May God bless you,
With much love and blessings,
