Just few hours left for the New Year 2021, I look back at 2020 and I acknowledge that this was indeed a blessed year, even in the midst of global pandemic, chaos, fears, and worries.
How has 2020 been for you?
Here are four simple things that will help you to prepare yourself for the great year ahead.
- Be grateful:
Dear friend take time to thank God for all that He has done for you this year. Many lost lives and jobs in this pandemic but you reached to the end of the year just because of His grace and mercies.
Do not complain for the things you did not receive, but be thankful for the things that He gave you without asking. You should have an attitude of gratitude.
Your gratitude will position your heart and mind to receive the very best from the Lord for the coming year.
2. Surrender to God:
The word surrender means to give yourself into or submit yourself to God’s authority.
Surrender your failures, weaknesses, hurts, worries, fears and also your victories and blessings that you have received this year to God. And also surrender the New Year – 2021 and everything it has to bring for you to the Lord.
When you surrender to the Lord, it comes under God’s control. And since it is in God’s control you can rest assure that God will glorify His name in and through you and bless you with the greater blessing than you have asked or imagined.
3. Trust in God:
Sometime it is possible that you have surrendered to God and yet try to fix things with your own intellect and strength without inquiring God.
You need to believe, since you have surrendered to God, therefore your life is safe and secured in His hands. The reason you trust in God is because He has seen your new year from the beginning to the end. It is better to trust in God than in anything or anyone!
Trusting in God is to completely depend on Him and be led by Him; and also trust Him along the way, knowing that He can turn all things for your good and His glory, because He loves you.
4. Thank God in advance for 2021:
When you know that your life and everything that is connected to you in under God’s control, and He has greater plans for you than you have for yourself then you will begin to give thanks because 2021 will be a best year of your life so far.
Thank Him in advance because He will be with you, and walk closer with you, and reveal Himself to you, bless you and use to be a blessing to the world that He has put around you.
With all my heart I believe that 2021 is a year of GROWTH (May God cause you to grow as you stay connected to Him, and ESTABLISH you to be an inspiration for people to follow Lord Jesus Christ)
