Hello dear friend,
Greetings to you in Jesus name.
Hope you are safe, healthy, and blessed to be a blessing to the people around you for the glory of God.
Today I would like to share 5 great blessings we have received in Jesus Christ.
Before I share those 5 points that the Lord has put in my heart to remind and encourage you, I want to bring to your notice on what blessings means.
For many people blessings means to have money, to be successful in business, to continue to excel in their jobs, have a big house, have big cars and motor cycles, and to have a 6 figure pay.
All of these things might be good and admirable, but I think “blessed or blessedness is to be satisfied in who God is to you and who you are to Him and you cherish in the finished work of Jesus on the cross, and when God is pleased with you”.
Because it is possible for someone to have every best things of the world and when he do not have God, and when God is not pleased than that person can live a miserable and meaningless life.
Recently we have started studying on the book of Ephesians together in the church and it has personally blessed me and renewed my blessings, my portion and my position in Christ, I would like to share few things briefly on the blessings we have received in Jesus Christ our Lord.
- BLESSED WITH EVERY BLESSING:
Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens IN CHRIST. Ephesians 1:3
Paul is saying that God the Father has blessed us (everyone who has believed and accepted Jesus to be the Lord and Saviour of their life) with every spiritual blessing in Jesus Christ.
The NLT says, we are blessed in the heavenly realms. Jesus taught His disciples to pray and He said “may Your Kingdom come and may Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”.
When you believe in Jesus, and pray to the Father; then every spiritual blessing will manifest in your life. When you are blessed in the spirit, those blessings will reflect in your mind (your thoughts & imaginations), and also in your body (how you live). Amen
Know this today that you are blessed by Father in Lord Jesus Christ.
2. YOU ARE CHOSEN:
Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us IN CHRIST to be holy and without fault in his eyes. Ephesians 1:4
I want to ask you, if you have power and grace to afford anything, what kind of things will you choose for yourself? The very best, isn’t it?
The all-mighty, the all-powerful, the all-sufficient God chose us.
Dear friend, God doesn’t make and choose stupid things, you are made wonderfully and beautifully by God, and chosen by God to be His own, even before He made the world (you existed in God even before Genesis 1:1). WOW, what a privilege!
3. YOU ARE ADOPTED BY GOD:
God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. Ephesians 1:5
Once we were all like enemies to God because of our sins (sins that we have done, and sins we inherited by Adam), but because of our faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross, God adopted us into His family.
The bible says, all who believe in Jesus, has become the children of God, and all those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. God accepted and embraced us not under any obligation but in great joy.
I want you to know, understand and remind yourself today that God is your Father, and you belong to Him, this fixes everything!
4. YOU ARE FORGIVEN:
He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of HIS SON and forgave our sins. Eph 1:7
If there is anything that separates mankind from God that has to be SIN. The bible says, we all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God, but in God’s great grace and mercies that when we repented of our sins God forgave us all our sins (past, present & future). What a relief!
Now you are no longer a slaves to sins that you continue to live in sin, God in His grace has forgiven you, and this empowers you to live a righteous life.
You are forever forgiven, do not allow the accuser to condemn and make you feel guilty. When the enemy remind you of your past, remind Him of Jesus on the cross.
5. YOU RECEIVE AN INHERITANCE:
Because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God. Ephesians 1:11a
The other words for inheritance is successor, birthright and legacy.
In Christ you have become to God all that Jesus is. Jesus is the Son of God, and you also have become the son of God because you have become one with Jesus in His body and blood.
Dear friend, before I conclude, I want to inform you that everything that belongs to the Father, also belongs to you In Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen
I pray, may God help you to live in the power of all the blessing that you have legally received in Jesus Christ, with the help of the Holy Spirit in Jesus might name I pray. Amen
