Hello dear friend,
Greetings to you in Jesus name, I hope you are safe, healthy, and blessed in the grace and mercies of God.
One of the things we have often asked is, how to grow spiritually? That’s a good timeless question you can ask as a child of God.
There are many ways you can do that will help you grow spiritually, but I want to share about the prayer apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesian church, as we meditate on the prayer, and pray for the same thing, I hope that we will also grow spiritually as the church (locally and globally).
The passage I am referring today is from Ephesians 3:14-21. I am just highlighting few words/verses, you can meditate for yourself and receive deeper insights.
This passage starts by saying that Paul, a man of God think and pray for them. It is a blessing to have a man of God whom God placed above you is thinking and praying for you.
In this passage we see one of the greatest prayer we should pray to experience the supernatural growth spiritually, which will also result in every area of our life.
- To be empowered by the Spirit:
What does it mean to be empowered by the Holy Spirit? And how does the Holy Spirit empower you?
As a child of God when we make Jesus as the Lord and Saviour of our life and by faith receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, He will empower us to live a life that benefits and helps us to grow spiritually and also glorifies God the Father.
As a new born baby grows physically and gradually, so should we grow spiritually. One of the signs of our spiritual growth is we produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit. And as disciples of Jesus Christ we should walk in the footsteps of our Master Lord Jesus Christ.
Holy Spirit is the one who empowers you from the inside, out. When you are empowered on the inside, you begin to live a powerful life in your mind and body for the glory of God in Jesus name.
As a result of you being empowered by the Holy Spirit, you will begin to trust God more, and be rooted deeper in Him, and also become stronger in life.
Do you want to be empowered by the Holy Spirit? All you need to do is, ask Him to help you and make a deliberate choice to follow Him all day, every day, all your life.
2. Have a deeper understanding of God’s love:
We all know that we are loved by God, and we also know that the love of God is unconditional and eternal.
Your revelation of the love that God has for you will prepare you to experience His love. No revelation – no revolution. I believe God wants us to understand the love He has for us.
Every husband wants his wife to understand the love he has for her, and vice-versa. Likewise God wants us His bride to understand His great love for us. Can we fully understand His love? I really doubt, but Apostle Paul is praying that they might understand the height, depth and width of God’s love!
Our revelation about the love of God will lead us into maturity and completeness in our life, and will also position us to experience His power in a greater way.
Dear friend, whenever you pray, ask the Holy Spirit to empower you, and ask God to give you grace to understand His love for you.
We are so blessed that our God is able to do more than we have asked and imagined, I pray that God in His great mercy will supernaturally empower us and give us a greater and deeper insight of His love for us, resulting in a spiritual growth reflecting Jesus Christ our Lord, in Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen
