Crucifixion is a roman punishment for the criminals, and it is done by nailing a person to the wooden beam. And Jesus the Son of God who knew no sin died like a criminal on the cross along with other criminals who did something to deserve that punishment.

Hello dear friend,

Greetings to you in Jesus name, I hope you are doing well in the grace and mercies of God. I pray, may God protect you and provide you all your needs in Jesus’ name. Amen

Why was Jesus crucified?

In my last post, I shared Jesus claimed to be the Son of God, making Himself equal to the Almighty God, therefore He was sentenced to be crucified.

One of the two reason Jews rejected Jesus to be their Messiah is because they were waiting (and are still waiting) for a Messiah who will fight for them against their enemies – politically, and provide their needs – Materially.

When Jesus asked his disciples who do you think I AM, Peter said “You are Christ (the Messiah), the Son of Living God”. Matthew 16:15-16

Prophecy about crucifixion?

Thousands of years before Roman government came into power, Bible has a record of crucifixion.

His body shall not remain overnight on the tree, but you shall surely bury him that day, so that you do not defile the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance; for he who is hanged is accursed of God. Deuteronomy 21:23 NKJV

On the cross Jesus took all our sins, all our curses, all our sickness, and all our poverty; and made us righteous, healthy, rich, and also blessed us with every blessing.

Cross generally was meant to a place of punishment, but for us His children became a place of our new life in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Why didn’t Jesus fight His accusers?

Many people say, if Jesus didn’t do anything that deserves a terrible death like the one He went through, why didn’t Jesus fight His case?

Jesus knew that purpose He came to earth, He said, The Son of man did not come to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:45

Our Lord Jesus willingly offered Himself as a sacrifice for the sins, and consequences of sins of the whole world of all time. He did not fight the situation though it was hard to take because He was thinking of you and me.

Because Jesus went through that terrible death, we are enjoying a new life filled with every blessings in Him. We owe our entire life to Him, He purchased us with His own blood and life, and we belong to Him.

Let us be always thankful to Him, and I pray as we be mindful of the things that Jesus has done for us on the cross, may we experience supernatural blessings in every area of our life, may we be blessed and be a great blessing to everyone in Jesus might name. Amen

With much love and blessings,
