Hello dear friend,
Greetings to you in Jesus name. I hope you are doing well in the grace and mercies of God. I pray may God continue to lead and guide you, and provide all your needs according to His glorious riches in Jesus name. Amen
After Jesus rose from the death, He appeared to His disciples and spent time with them teaching what they should do.
When Jesus sent His disciples, He did not send them empty handed but with the commission, here is the list of things Lord Jesus told them in the book of Mark 16:15-20.
I hope you too are a disciple of Jesus Christ whose life has been transforming into His fullness as you follow Him wholeheartedly. The disciples did what Jesus told them and got amazing results, you too can get those results they got, are you willing to do what they did?
What did Jesus tell them then, what He is telling to us today?
- Go into all the world and preach the gospel:
If you look at the life of Jesus, He travelled from place to place to preach the Kingdom of God.
Sometimes God brings people to you and some other time you have to go to people, the word GO is an action word.
You need to go to the people, our Lord Jesus also came to earth from heaven, now it’s our turn that we go to people.
What should we do after meeting people?
The instruction is clear, you preach the gospel. The gospel is the good news about Jesus Christ. You need to tell people about what Jesus has done for all mankind, of all time.
How will people know what Jesus has done unless it is told to them, Jesus sent His disciples to tell people, so that they can believe and enjoy the blessed life in Christ.
I pray, may God give you grace to go to people and tell people about the benefits in the Lord Jesus Christ.
2. Baptise them that believe:
The word baptize means to immerse. It is not enough that you go and tell people about Jesus, you need to lead them to the place where they are immersed in Jesus and the life they live should reflect the life of Jesus.
It is your responsibility to continually teach them about Jesus, and help them to follow Jesus’ footsteps everyday – all day.
3. Cast out demons:
When you go and preach the gospel, and making them disciples you might notice that there are people who are possessed or influenced by the evil spirits.
When God sends you, He is also sending you with power to set the people free from every attack of the enemy in body, mind, emotions, spirit, and in every area of their life.
How to cast a demon out?
When someone comes under the Lordship of Jesus Christ by accepting Him to be their personal Lord and Saviour, then you should take position of authority and speak freedom to them in Jesus name. As you do it by faith, you will witness demons leave the person (people).
4. Heal the sick:
When you cast a demon(s) out of a person you position that person to experience supernatural healing and health to their body, mind, emotions and spirit.
How to heal the sick?
Jesus gave His disciples a technique to heal the sick, and that is to “place the hand on the sick person”, and they will be healed.
As an anointed child of God when you place your hand on the sick by faith that God’s healing virtue will flow through you, then it will according to your faith (even without you uttering a word in prayer).
Just by the touch of faith in your identity and finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, you can help people recover.
Jesus gave His disciples authority and power over evil spirits and situations, and the disciples went out preached the Word, and exercised their faith; the Bible says, God worked with them and confirmed their words with miraculous signs following.
As you go by faith, to fulfil the work He has given to you, may God be with you and work with you, and use you greatly to build His Kingdom and expand it for the glory of God, in Jesus name. Amen
