Hello dear friends,
Greetings to you in Jesus name.
I hope you are doing well in the grace and mercies of God. I pray may God continue to protect you from all evil and danger and provide everything you need, in Jesus name. Amen
One of the things that bothers me is, what are we giving to the coming generation?
When you look around all you see is sin, and whether you like it or no, “You are adjusting to become comfortable” to it. And slowly you are losing sensitivity to the standard you are called into, in Jesus Christ your Lord.
“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.”1 John 2:15-16 ESV
Everything you see on TV (movies & series), social media, and every entertaining apps is exposing us to sex, violence, fear (horror), crime, vulgar language, filthy jokes…..
Where are the movies, series and TV shows which are clean and which you can watch with the parents (elders) where you will learn morality? Where are the standup comedians who make people laugh without sexual content and vulgar language?
If you don’t guard your hearts from these sources of entertainment, you will live in it and you will pass it on this sinful life to your children’s children, without any guilt of sin.
“Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.”
Colossians 3:5, 8 NKJV
Dear friend, before I conclude I want to remind you that “sinful things are common in this world in our generation, but you are not common”.
Do not imitate the world or the things in it, imitate your God (your Creator). Whom are you following? What kind of music you are listening? What kind of things you are watching?
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2 NLT
I pray, may God give you grace to love God and things that please Him, and hate everything that He would hate. As you honour God in this, may God greatly bless and honour you in Jesus name. Amen
