Hello Dear Friend,
Greetings to you in Jesus’ name. I hope you’re doing well.
“The day for building your walls will come, the day for extending your boundaries.” Micah 7:11 NIV
There should be at least 4 different kinds of walls you should build to see growth and improvement in your own life.
- BUILD TO PROTECT:
The Bible says in Joshua 6 that the city of Jericho was surrounded by walls.
These are the walls that protected the city from the enemies and every unauthorised person.
Do you have walls around your heart (desires) and mind (emotions), and also around your body (wants) that protect you from every kind of enemy?
If you don’t have the walls of protection, enemies can come and take you away from the purpose of God.
- BUILD TO STORE:
Once you have built a wall of protection against your enemy, it is important that you build a wall to store blessings for you and your family.
The Bible says in Genesis 41 that Joseph built bigger storage facilities for the 7 years of great harvest.
If you want God to greatly bless and expand every area of your life, you should build walls to hold the blessings.
It’s also the sign of faith and hope in the Lord and His Word.
- BUILD FOR YOUR CITY.
Every time God blesses and extends to you, it is your responsibility to be a blessing to your city.
The Bible says in Nehemiah 2 that he gives a call to build the wall of Jerusalem. It is not enough that you have protection and you have enough for you and your family, but you should also care for your city.
Nehemiah was in the palace, very close to the king, but when he heard about his city, he was disturbed and was in deep sorrow.
When you look at your city/country, how are you reacting to the situation?
It’s easy to blame everything and everyone, take responsibility, and build.
- BUILD FOR THE LORD.
In 1 Chronicles 28, David desires to build the house of the Lord.
Later, we learn that Solomon builds a beautiful and luxurious house for the Lord.
When God blesses you, you should be a blessing to the Kingdom of God also.
You cannot build for the Lord until you have built for yourself, your family, and your city.
As you read this post, I pray that the Lord help you to build like an expert builder in Jesus name.
As you begin to build, may you begin to extend in Jesus’ name.
