Hello dear friend,

Greetings to you in Jesus name.

No matter how strong you are, or how influential you are, or powerful you are or how wise you are…… there is one thing that people are scared of and that is DEATH.

Today I want to write to you on things that will help you for purposeful death.

finish-well

  1. Understand that your life on earth in temporary:

Everyone who is born in the flesh has to die in the flesh. Your life here on earth is very limited. Then why are we so mindful of the life on earth that we forget that there is life after death and that life depends on the way we live this temporary life.

Your life on earth might be 70 yrs, 80 years, 100 years or more than that, but one day you have to die. But the life after this life on earth is eternal and unending, where you have to live depending on how you live your life now.

Even the life of Jesus, the Son of God. He came on a mission once He completed His God given assignment on earth He died, because He is God, death couldn’t hold Him, He rose from the dead and after few days He was ascended to heaven.

  1. Death comes unexpected:

Death doesn’t come with a reminder and come knocking on your door for the permission. It comes suddenly and unexpectedly.

When people know they are dying, probably they think, I didn’t say good bye to my loved ones. Which might be a terrible feeling, leaving everyone behind and entering into eternity knowing that he/she will never get an opportunity to see, talk and love.

Jesus knew exactly when He would die, therefore He scheduled His earthly life and prepared well to meet God, the Father. There are few men and women of God who know when their time has come and they prepare accordingly.

But those who don’t know when you encounter death, have to be ready always.

Therefore, whatever work God has given you, do it with all your heart, whatever God has entrusted you with, do it with passionately because you have to give an account to God.

  1. Die daily:

I am reminded of the words written by Apostle Paul to the church in Corinth, he said ‘I die daily’.

And also in a letter to the church in Galatia, he says “I have been crucified with Christ, it’s no longer I who live but Christ, and the life I live in this body , I live for the glory of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.

We all know about the life of Paul, one of the greatest apostles of the 1st century church. The reason he lived and achieved great things for God is because we served God as if it was his last opportunity to minister.

If we too live like Paul, dying daily. We will also be in a place where we will testify, I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race and I have remained.

Paul didn’t die with regrets, when he knew his time has come to go, he looked back and said, I have finished the race. The reason he could say that is because he lived daily to fulfill the purpose of God through his life.

One of the things that you can’t get back is time, time doesn’t wait for anyone, and we should run with the time and live a purposeful life daily.

As you are reading this post, I pray that God will give you grace to die daily for our self-centered dreams and desires and live a life that God has called us to live.

God Bless You,

Call to Purposeful life,
Ps. Jeevan & Leena
