Hello dear friend,

Greetings to you in Jesus name.

I hope you are doing well in the grace and mercies of God.

I pray, may God continue to protect you from all the plans and schemes of the enemy, and may He also provide all your needs according to His glorious riches in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Wine is very well known by everyone, it is used as an expression of celebration in the Bible. We see it was used at the wedding in Cana where Jesus turns the water into wine, and we also see Jesus eating and drinking at Levi’s house, and even at the Lord’s Supper.

Wine in Jesus’ days was more of the cultural based thing than a religious opinion, yet it has certain boundaries that comes along.

Today I would like to share few things from wine and its making, I pray and believe this post will be a blessing to you in Jesus name.

And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.” Mark 2:22

What makes Jesus such a profound teacher is, He taught in the way His audience could easily relate and understand. He is saying “new wine is poured in new wineskin (container)”, else both is ruined.

The day you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you became a new person in the spirit, but if you keep thinking and living your old habits your life will be in ruins. As a new creation in Jesus Christ, you need have new thoughts, new desires, and new way of living that is pleasing and acceptable to the Lord.

How is the wine made?

The reason it is important to learn the making of wine is because you have also been made to become all that God has in store for you.

  1. Sowing and harvesting:

We know that you cannot make a grape wine, without grapes. You need to sow seeds for grapes and with its harvest you can make a grape wine.

It is important for you to know and understand that you are the harvest of the seed God sowed. Jesus is the Seed, and when Jesus rose from the dead and ascended to heaven with Him we too were resurrected and were seated in the heavenly realms with Him.

You are the harvest/fruit of gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

2. Cleaning:

When you harvest or receive a harvest, the first thing we usually do is wash it with water. Generally you don’t use the unwashed fruit, isn’t it?

The Word of God/Scriptures isthe water that cleanses all our sins, impurities, and makes us whole, so that you can be used for the glory of God.

3. Crushing:

You cannot get a wine without the grapes go through crushing, only crushing brings the best juice.

Not everyone likes the crushing part, but everyone wants to be clean someway of the other.

The Christian life is not a life free from challenges, troubles, and tests. Many people turn their back on God and their faith in God because they think life with God is a life free from all challenges. But the life with God is a blessing because it helps you to overcome all challenges, every day.

4. Filtering:

After the grapes going through crushing, it gives juice. No crushing, no juice!

But with crushing there are so many others things that will become visible that are not good for the good wine, therefore it is important that you filter it.

You are chosen by God for a great purpose, but unless you filter your habits, desires, people you associate with, the usage of your words, and the things that you get yourself entertained with; you will not be living a blessed life in its fullness.

5. Preserving:

After the grapes has gone through all these above process, it is also important to preserve it carefully until it is time to use it. And preserve in a right place, and in a right container.

People generally don’t like to be hidden or unrecognized, they want to show off who they are, what they can do, and what they have achieved in life. When God hides you until your time is to be revealed, don’t be impatient because in your time you will come to the light, in your time you will be recognized and be honored.

The more time we wait, the wine tastes better, so it is with our life!

I pray, may God make you a great blessing to the world that you are surrounded with, may His name be glorified in and through your life in Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen

With much love and blessings,
