Hello dear friend,

Greetings to you in the name of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I hope you are doing well in the grace and mercies of God, I pray may God continue to keep you and your loved ones safe from all the covid variants and from every attack of the enemy in Jesus name. Amen. Stay safe and stay close to God!

I want to remind you today, that you been blessed by God. Do not underestimate the blessings God gave you. Sometimes it is possible for you to look at the things God gave you and complain thinking it is too little and too insignificant compared to what other have.

As long as you are looking and admiring at the things others have, you might not value what you have and not celebrate it fully. It is good to like the things other have, but don’t be jealous and do not be greedy.

What you think is little and insignificant to you, might be greater to others. Learn to be thankful to God, and appreciate what God gave you. When you are faithful in the little, God will make you the lord over much.

The bible records an amazing, familiar, and very well-known story in the book of Mark 6:30-44 about ‘Jesus feeding 5000’, this story is recorded in other gospels too.

The bible says, that people from different places came to meet, listen and to be blessed by Jesus, when Jesus saw the crowd He had compassion on them and taught them many things, by then it was too late and the disciples told Jesus to send the people away so that they might go and find some food for themselves.

But Jesus told them, to give food; they replied it might take 200 days of man’s wages to provide for all of them – in other words the disciples said it is impossible. Jesus asked them, what do you have? They could only find 5 loaves of bread and 2 small fishes. He took it, blessed it, broke it, and gave it back to the disciples to distribute. Surprisingly and supernaturally 5000 people had full meals and 12 basket full of broken bread and fish was left over.

How was that possible to feed 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fishes? Remember they were 5000 men, beside women and children. I think approximately around 15-20 thousand people ate that day.

The lunch box of a small boy with 5 loaves and 2 small fishes was more than enough to feed such large crowd. When the disciples initially saw the boy’s lunch box, they couldn’t believe in the wildest imagination that it would feed a huge crowd.

Dear friend your life, your gifts, your service, and your income might look very little to you, but trust me what God gave you has a potential to be a blessing to you and to everyone whom He has put in your life!

What should you do to be greatly blessed with what you have?

  • Bring yourself with everything to Jesus (come to Him)
  • Give yourself with everything you are and everything you have to Jesus (completely surrender to Him)
  • Be willing to be broken in His hands (He molds and perfects you for a greater use)
  • Be willing to serve the people around you (serve one person at a time)

Remember it is a joy and privilege to be broken in the hands of the Master, and whatever God breaks He multiplies. And a boy who brought 5 loaves and 2 small fishes, did not starve that day; I believe He was fully fed and because of his sacrificial giving to the Master, he might have taken 12 baskets full of bread and fish. I assume the boy took all this bread and fish and gave a feast to the family, friends, relatives, neighbors, and everyone he found that day.

Whatever you give to God will come back to you with a greater measure, and well positioned to serve everyone in your life for their benefit and for the glory of God.

I pray, as you bring yourself and everything you have to Him, may He take it and bless it, and give it back to you to be blessing to the world in Jesus name. Amen

With much love and prayer,

Ps. Jeevan & Ps. Leena Jeevan.
