YOUR ULTIMATE PURPOSE!

Hello dear friend,

Greetings to you in Jesus’ name. I hope you are doing well; I pray that God continues to be gracious to you.

 We are so caught up with the things happening to us and around us that we easily disregard the very fact that we are created by God. Since many don’t know the purpose of their life, they draw their identity from the place they live, the work they do, the family they come from, and the kind of lifestyle they live.

I want to share 3 things with you from the above verses;

1. God knew you in advance:

Whether someone understands you or not, God knows and understands you. He is your Creator; He designed and formed you. He knows you more closely than you know yourself; He also knows the things that you are going through. You might only see questions and complaints, but God, through it all, sees the answers too.

Now you need to know what you can do to know and understand God, and yourself too.

2. God chose you:

God not only knows and understands you, but He chose (handpicked)you.

Imagine if you had the power to afford anything and anyone for yourself; what kind of things and people would you choose?

If you think no one wants you and even you might not like yourself, but God choosing you says that He loves you, He values you, He has a purpose for your life, and He is waiting on you to become a person He would take pride in and rejoice in.

Think about what the Creator wants from you… 

3. You become like His Son:

Jesus is the begotten Son of God, but everyone who believes in Jesus, God gives them power to become His children, and those that are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Since you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, and you are filled with the Holy Spirit, God desires for you to be like His Son Jesus Christ.

You may say it’s impossible because Lord Jesus is Holy and you have a lot of weaknesses; you are right.

I want you to take a minute to think: Is it possible for you to live like Jesus? With your own strength and weakness, it’s impossible, but how about with God’s help?

God has given us everything we need for us to live like His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. God has given us His Word (The Bible), His Spirit, the spiritual covering, and also the exemplary life of Jesus Christ.

If you still think it’s impossible, either because you don’t want to live like Jesus Christ or because you want to live your life the way you want. When you give up what you are holding on to, then you can hold on to what God is willing for us.

Benefits of you becoming like Jesus;

1. Lord Jesus will become your spiritual elder brother.
2. You will be called to the Sonship of God (royal invitation)
3. You will have a right standing with God. (as sons/ heirs)
4. He will give you His glory (Great honor)

2 Corinthians 3:18: So, all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

Dear friend, we as a church are the body of Christ; His blood is running in our spiritual veins; we are the carriers of His name; angels minister to us because of Lord Jesus in us and with us; therefore, now let us be intentional to live like Jesus every day – all day, one day at a time. As we live like Lord Jesus, people around us will see us, and they will come to God with adoration.

I pray that you know and understand your purpose in life, and that you draw supernatural strength and grace to live like Lord Jesus, in His precious name. Amen.
